Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of LiveTranslate, provided by the LiveTranslate team (“we”, “us”).

1. Beta software

LiveTranslate is currently offered as a public beta, provided as-is and free of charge. Features may change, break, or be removed, and output may be imperfect while we improve it.

2. License

We grant you a personal, non-transferable license to use LiveTranslate on your Apple devices, subject to the Apple Media Services Terms and these terms.

3. On-device use

The core on-device transcription and translation features are provided as-is. All processing happens on your device.

4. Cloud subscription (optional, future)

As the app matures we expect to offer an optional auto-renewing subscription via Apple In-App Purchase for cloud processing. Tiers under consideration: Starter (5 hours/month), Pro (20 hours/month), Unlimited (fair-use cap of 100 hours/month).
Any price and billing period will be shown in the app before purchase and charged to your Apple ID. Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the period ends; manage or cancel in your Apple ID settings.
Included hours reset each billing period and do not roll over. Restore Purchases is available in the app.
Account deletion: you may delete your cloud account and associated data from within the app at any time (Settings → Engines → Data & Privacy).

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to use the service unlawfully, including recording others without the consent required by your jurisdiction. You are solely responsible for obtaining any consent required to record and transcribe other people.

6. Accuracy disclaimer

Transcriptions, translations, and summaries are generated by automated models and may contain errors. Do not rely on them for legal, medical, financial, or other consequential decisions without independent verification.

7. Privacy

Your use is also governed by our Privacy Policy.

8. Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the service is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind, and our liability is limited to the amount you paid for the service in the 12 months preceding the claim (which, during the free beta, is zero).
